Yup - everytime we filled up, BT was putting a few litres less in than I was. That's the one and only thing I really dislike about mine - xl650v4- the fuel consumption is diabolical. 20 year old mercs are giving better returns than I get - but I'm loath to start tinkering with stuff I have absolutely no understanding of.

One of the things I heard and liked about the Tenere sean has - about 250/270 miles between fillups. And I've ridden with sean. It's hard on the nerves let me tell ya!!!

As someone who loves long distance riding - the bigger the gap between fillups the better.

I can't at the moment ever see myself without the alp, but if anything were to do it - it would be petrol economy and tank range. Nothing else. I just love that bike.
