???? The gore corp give a lifetime warranty on all Gore-tex clothing so if your boots leak and the shop won't change them the Gore corporation will look into as there product is on license to a lot of firms. They pulled the license from frank thomas as the quality of stitching was so bad it was giving GORE a bad name. Gore-tex works like a spiders web were water beads over the top of it, but when it's not cleaned the pores fill up and water absorbs through the web and technically they are no leaking. If they investigate and find it's due to you not cleaning as recommended they won't replace

to me your boots leaking sounds like it's a bit of your own doing and probably are not defective

Altberg's Leder Gris works well for me, too. Now up to 8 or 9 years, worn most days all year round, and the leather is are holding up well. I've actually worn through the inner lining (tip: keep your big toe nail trimmed if, like me, you have wide feet...) but the leather on it's own still seems to be keeping the water out

I use it on walking boots as well, which get a much harder life than bike boots.

I also have some Nikwax "aqueous" wax. This is handy as you can splosh in on to wet leather. I don't think it is as effective, but if you wear your boots every day, there are times it is handy to be able to add a bit more wax, when you don't have time to get the boots clean and dry first.
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle

I use a product called HYDROPHANE on all my leather stuff it is supposed to waterproof and protect, horsy people use it on their tack, which, I'm told costs an arm and 2 legs, hydrophane is cheap and seems effective, I've been using it for years and I'm so mean my kit has to last a loooong time.

You can get it from any saddlery shops (horsey stuff)

It restores and nourishes leather to it's natural finish - my old road based Oxtars (like Raven had up for sale) are still like new after 15 years as are my Oxtar Infinity boots that have had since 2007 and done many miles and lots of rain and mud on them
