Hi Ian, as far as i can see a 150 section tyre should be ok for clearance. But i have an RD07. Maybe one of the guys with an RD04 will check for you.

just checked my 91 RD04 with 140/80 on, loads of room both sides, 150 is only 5mm wider each side.
Standard rim is 2.75 wide, so it will just make tyre profile more rounded, ie. more tread on side that never touches the road . . . . (unless the bikes laying down )Standard tyre for RD04 is 130 with 2.75 rim '' . . . . . . '' . . . RD07 is 140 with 3.00 rim Good luck on the trip Len. |
