Hi MY NAME IS IAN COATES FROM ENGLAND BUT NOW IN THE CANADIAN ROCKY MOUNTAINS GETTING MY 1991 XRV 750 AFRICA TWIN READY TO SHIP IT TO SIBERIA I NORMALY USE A BRIDGESTONE TW 140X80X17 BUT I ONLY CAN GET A TW 150X80X17 WILL IT FIT . ALL THE BEST IAN

Hi Ian, as far as i can see a 150 section tyre should be ok for clearance. But i have an RD07. Maybe one of the guys with an RD04 will check for you.

just checked my 91 RD04 with 140/80 on, loads of room both sides, 150 is only 5mm wider each side.
Standard rim is 2.75 wide, so it will just make tyre profile more rounded, ie. more tread on side that never touches the road . . . . (unless the bikes laying down )

Standard tyre for RD04 is 130 with 2.75 rim
'' . . . . . . '' . . . RD07 is 140 with 3.00 rim
