    Stainless Steel Exhaust

The front pipes on my @ are just about rusted through so it's time to look for new parts.........

Does anyone know who does, or where I can get a set of Stainless Steel front pipes that will connect to the original end can?

    Cheers in anticipation

    Jonathan

The originals are stainless steel (or so I believed). If you want a fright, get a price for two new ones from a Honda dealer. Most provide a chair so you can sit down when they tell you the cost.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

If you are really desperate I may have a set of RD07 pipes (RD04 are longer!) "somewhere" in the garage. I may need a sherpa-assisted expedition to find them, but I am quite convinced they must be out there . They are not pretty but a good enough alternative to ones that are rusting through. They may last just long enough while you are saving for brand new OE ones

Thanks for the offer, they sound ideal - a bit of wire brushing should see them alright.

How much do you want for them?

My pipes have rusted through at the joint after the muffler and before the can.

    Cheers

I will collect all my courage and start looking for them. Then I will check out what they look like (not much use sending you pipes with similar problems ), try to make a few of my infamous pictures and I will let you know asap

Ps! Just to make sure: It is header pipes only (no silencer) of an RD07 from 94 (don't think headers have changed after that unless somebody else here knows better?).
