    Cap thingy replacement

I have lost one of these cover's and the second one has most of the gripping teeth thingys that hold it in place missing. Any idea where I can get replacements (and what the proper name is?). Cheers.

    I think it's called a frame plug.

    Ritchie,

ask Dave Silver Spares for 'the round plastic thing that covers the swing arm bolt' - it worked for me! I only needed one, it was under a fiver.

I substituted my lost cap with a chrome look plastic cap from a Honda Shadow. Not sure of the year or model as it came from the wreckers.
You may want to add a wee bit of silicone sealant on the tangs to keep it in place.

From the pic you can also see the Facet pump installation and the routing
of my Scottoiler along the swingarm.

Good advice about the sealant as the 'teeth' that keep it in place aren't up to much. The silver cap looks good too.

you could try an engineers suppliers, they use these plugs to cap off the ends of steel tubes.

Being tight I robbed the blanks out of my kitchen units (other side of door drilled for round hinge!) for my RD04 as it was white! They fitted fine.
Wife wasn't happy though! But it took a long time for her to notice!
