Dont know if this will help, but...
If its Givi knock the hinge pins out with a nail and pop lock barrel e-clip off the back. If its the old sort Givi they have enough give in the plastic to use a big flat bladed screwdriver to pop open without too much damage.
If it is off the bike the retaining screws can be undone and the whole mechanism can be wrangled off.
I learnt all of this after loosing my key on the beach and had my spare key inside my trousers IN the pannier which was on the bike so I couldn't get my seat off to get to my tools.!![]()
As for then getting the key out of the barrel.. I have no idea. A good locksmith will probably advise over the phone. Find an old one...he will probably have an arsenal of tips and tricks!!
Thanks for the reply...they are nonfango boxes. I will look later on. Many thanks
