You can only adjust the pilot jet(this controls the mixture at tick over) with a screw(small brass screw on the bottom of each carb). From memory I think they should be 2 1/2 turns out from fully in

    Is the bike standard?

If so it should be fine as is, so check your air filter is Ok and that you have the correct spark plugs, and also check that you haven't got sticky chokes as described elsewhere on the forum.

If the bike is non standard let us know whats been changed

Is the can race or road?

Whatever, if anything it should be running ok if not a bit lean.

So you may have a problem, check the air filter is clean and then I would investigate the choke mechanism at the carb end where the cables enter the carb bodies. They can stick and cause rich running.

I wish I was running to rich.

All I can seem to manage is running to fat.

With knackered knees and hips! You do know that the man that promoted jogging dropped dead with a heart attack while out on a run!

Hope I die before I get old, as someone once sang!

    Cheers
