    On the Road again...

Finaly after a long winter layup and a few jobs to do my @ is back on the road again.
It all started back in November when I decided I need new tyres, upon removal of the old ones I discoverd that my rims have rotten and are virtualy see through, I suspect that previous owner rode it on the beach and then left the bike standing for a long while as they were rotten just in one place about for about 5". In the process of getting new rims from Central Wheel I changed both front discs, rebuilt tha calipers, fitted a new set of carbs and a new screen. I went for a 1" wider rear rim and TKC 80 tyres. Also had the seat recovered, widened and put some gellpads.
Am I happy? - Oh Yes - Im on the road again ready for adventures

No, (s)he probably just used the bike :P
Just replaced my AT's rims ('94 model) as well with exactly the same illness.

    Nice bike, enjoy

Ps! Is that a special seat you've got on there or did you use a standard one and then updated it?
Pps! What front discs do you run (looks like EBCs)?

Disks are EBC indeed. The seat was done by P&P Seats in Birmingham
http://www.ppseat.co.uk/ it took 10 days including delivery and cost just over £110. Same seat was used but it was remoulded, widened and I went for 2 gell pads. They usualy ask you to draw your "bum line" on the seat so it could be moulded just for you. Overall very happy with it, made a world of difference.

Like the can. I just got one of those and its rather loud! Sounds like a Ducati with a full race system.

Laser Pro Duro can. It really is wild! if i knew how to make a decent recording i would. There is a road legal version of it. Basically they look both the same but one has an E-mark on it. There is no "Not for road use" marked on it which is good. They are not fusy in Nothern Ireland yet when it comes to cans.

You make it sound like i live on a different side of the world. I tend to get my stuff from the same places as you as its the same country! I got the can second hand from someone who had hardly used it. Don't know how much he paid for it.
