Seems like one mans honest opinion, nowt wrong with that, I agree with some of it but not all of it. Don't get all upset.
Looks pretty fair to me. Which bits don't you agree with?
This bit "although you'd never keep up with your mates on their Fireblades"
This "and whilst it does come with a luggage rack, it's only big enough for toothbrushes and credit cards"
This
"The five gallon tank itself should take you around 250 miles if you take it easy, but push on and range goes down to nearer 150!"
And this
"The Africa Twin is a bike in search of a role. Unlike most bikes which excel at one particular role and cope with the rest, the big v-twin traillie excels at none - it's Jack of all Trades, and not particularly good at any of them"
Personally, I think he's full sof ****e. He would not know a decent bike, if it ran him down.
Yep everyone has an opion, he says potato I say feckoffSo we need a user who never does more than 60mph, never corners hard or brakes hard, doesn't sit on it for too long at one go, but needs a fairing and a little luggage carrying facility.Hopefully he is one of the twats I drive over on my way home every day because my AT is so slow and big to manouvre through traffic with terrible brakes that I just keep heading straight east

He makes a few fair points but then again he is welcome to do drive his fireplace on road to the plains, then take it offroad and head back home after a nice bimble out for the day![]()
I think you're all a little biased towards the Africa Twin

I think the AT got off quite lightly. He didn't even mention the price of a choke cable!Originally Posted by mgillespie
