    New Chain

so, my chain is almost running out it's last miles, as it can't be streched anymore.. Next time I mess with it, it will have to be for a complete change..

By chainging the chain, I also need to change the front and the back sprocket (is it written correclty??)

I know Africa Twin uses DID 525 (saw that on wiki)..

What I really want is to able to buy one on-line and to know really what I am buying. I don't mind paying some more, if it reasures me that it is of better quality and will last longer without having to touch it...

    So, 2 small questions:

1- wich chain (with a reference will be fantastic)
2 - anyone bought it online? www adress??

    Thanks

    Zorza

i used to run an o-ring chain on my bikes untill i discovered the x-ring chain. it is a tad more expensive but i get way more miles off it compared to the o-ring chains, provided i keep it well greased up. i dont use chain wax, only an off road chain lube that is seriously good stuff,i found wax just wasnt up to the task, especially when you ride in the dirt!!

have no idea as to a www address but if you do a search in here or perhaps on google....hang on a sec....go to www.didchain.com they give you the gen on their chains as well as world wide distributors!!

The main factor in determining the life of a chain is how well you treat it i.e. keeping it clean, lubed and the chain tension correct. All things being equal it would appear as if the DID X-ring chains lasts a bit longer and are worth the extra cash. All the suppliers mentioned are reputable. You could also try David Silver Spares.
