    Front end conversion

Am looking at completely modifying the front end of my RD04, I want to fit some upside down forks and have the opportunity to fit some marzocchi 50mm forks. I was wondering if anyone had undertaken a project similar to this and has advice on yokes and angles of trail etc.

    mods so far....
shortened rear end by about a foot, bitubo racing shock, arrow dakar rep. exhaust, mini indicators, pro taper bars, ego handguards, acerbis raised front mudguard, stainless hoses, custom seat, transalp tank, custom rear side panels, titanium fixings powerbronze screen

WOWEE that sound awsome - get some pics up asap

As for the forks, no-one on this site has been fortunate enough to be able to fit Mazocchi's (££££££££££££££)

But i'm sure some of the experts will be able to give you some tips.

I did find previously a lot of pics from Italian and Hungarian AT owners sites that had fitted these forks - dont spose you speak Italian or Hungarian?

Keep us posted of the mods.

Sounds awesome mate - when you say stainless hoses do you mean just brake lines?

Metal coolant pipes would be handy...I could be more liberal with the WD without worrying about it destroying them.

    I want pics!

The plan is fitting a 43mm WP fork (2000 KTM LC4) in my @ and get the rear suspension fixed (more travel for offroad) next winter.
And some more... 18" rearwheel, get some weight off the front etc.

If this helps, see Dave S's post re. posting pics:

First make sure you're logged in to the forum.
Click on the picture gallery link.
Know where you want to upload your pictures to. Do you want to create a new album or is there allready an album there which is appropriate?
If you want to upload to say the Africa Twin album go to that album and click on it to see the photo's in it.
Next select Add Items from the left hand side menu.
You can then choose from many different ways to upload your photo's.
From web browser is the traditional way that you will be used to, or for the new sexy way try Windows XP.
    That's pretty much it really.
When uploaded you will see, under each full size photo, the url to use in the forum.

Mav - that is for sure my Fave @.

I'm getting all jittery just looking at it. I'm tempted to sell Frankendom next year and get an @ and go for a similar look.
