    Carb balance request

Is anyone able to balance carbs, and able to do so before 22nd July?

Got my JoG - LE trip coming up and completely forgot to arrange a date with Yen! Of all the bajillions of bits and bobs we have the garage, a carb balancer isn't one of them!

Replacing sprockets and chain at the weekend, and probably an oil change although that can be done anytime.

Sorry about not replying, I have no work internet access this last few days (office move)and for some reason dial up and private messages do not get on too well, by the time a reply box comes up I always need a poo or have to get off the phone to ring someone. This weekend I have to load CAD on lots n lots of computers at our new super (super means new but poxy in council speak)office (I.T. always balls it up so I got overtime plus mileage, 200 miles at 45p per mile, I shall have that new front tyre I so desperately need) but I'm in during the evenings during the week. Are you sure it needs doing so urgently, it can't be that far out can it?
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

You know the moor pub scene in "An American Werewolf in London"? Stop thinking about Jenny, because that's North Somerset that is, pentagram, silence, odd beer, everything. Really. They only moved the location to Yorkshire for legal reasons (they'll do anything for half a crown!).

I count myself lucky that I escaped twenty years ago, but I still check behind doors and gates, under mats, behind curtains, under mats, behind doors, gates and curtains every morning. In fact every moment of every day. You can't be too sure. Not never. No way no how.

I wish you good luck, Chronyx.

That's OK mate, don't have to explain to me! Gotta love I.T. techs too, most of them wind me up and their my colleagues! Jobsworth bastards.

It's getting pretty snatchy at low revs, but if it's not bad for the engine I'm sure it can wait till I get back, I just wanted to double check that really, if it's just a low speed running issue I can live with it - the trip sure won't involve much of it!

Snatchy eh, check you haven't got a tight spot in the chain. Also mine was snatchy till I disconnected the choke cable which I think was sticking (the chokes were cleaned) now it's as smooth as my old AT at tickover and low speed. Will have to replace the cable when the cold weather comes back I suppose.
