I found this wee thingy hanging around the gear selector/oil pipe area.

What's it for, and where does it go? Any ideas?!

Looks like a pipe/wire guide to stop it flapping around.

Tha'ts what we thought...looks like goes over the front sprocket. But it's impossible to hold it in place, put the bolt in, and put the sprocket cover back on so we're not so sure!

Down behind the front sprocket cover - it is a guide for the neutral switch wire and oil pressure switch wire. which run up between this clip and crankcase.
