    Help please .... Dynojet thing

    Hi

Can anyone tell me, real simple loike, what are the benefits of fitting a stage one kit to an AT?

I have just discovered, by venturing into the world of servicing the bike at home, that my bike has a K&N air filter fitted and various websites suggest fitting a stage one kit is a good idea seeing as i allready have the posh air filter.

So, if anyone can shed light on subject, simply though , I would be grateful. Oh, the bike has the standard exhaust fitted.

    Thanks

There's different kinds of K&N filters.

Basically they've got open "racing" filters and drop-in replacements that act more or less like the stock filter. I've got one of the latter in the NX, and it did nothing at all performance-wise, it's just easier to maintain. (And chances are good that the airflow is restricted by the airbox anyway instead of the filter.)

IMO the best thing to do when you want the bike to run good is to take it to a shop with a dynostar test rig, strap 'er down and see what's what. The operator can then tell you what needs changing on your particular bike, if anything at all.
