    Front & Rear Discs

    G'Day All,
can any of you good people (especially any Australian AT owners) advise me of the best place to get front and rear discs for my '97 AT. After much 'kin around, I'm now being told I can't get them over here. My Rego (MOT) is due in the next couple of months and the paper thin ones I'm running at the moment may not get through.
Any on - line solutions will be greatly appreciated. I hear alot about this David Silver on here is that my best bet ?
If any one wants to ride over and deliver them you're more than welcome !!! I'll stick another slab in the fridge !!!
    Cheers.

There's a German site that apparently are quite good - I think it's wemoto.com or something like that.

It must be possible to make other discs fit though?

Yes, David Silver Spares is (or at least up to recently) selling them at £59 plus VAT / P&P. That's cheaper than (generally inferiour) after-market ones! ...Alright, "less-expensive" is the better word to use here ).
    They do have international mail-order.

I am not sure how much they charge for a rear-disc though. If they are less-friendly priced than you may want to consider an after-market one (rear brake is less significant anyway). In that case I'd personally shop at Brembo or Spiegler (Germany).

    Good luck

Oh and don't forget to service the calipers and caliper floating-sliders before fitting new discs, it is incredibly easy to ruin brand new discs if they don't evenly put the braking-pressure on both sides of the disc

    Spares for Aus AT owners

    Howzit SydneyAT,

I was chatting to Greg over the weekend and we are both of the opinion that Chan is the best supplier of OEM AT parts.

The last details I have for him are:

    +65 (1) 6283-5150

    51 Ubi Ave
1 #05-08 Paya Ubi Ind Pk
    408933
    Singapore

    Email:
    chan_asia@yahoo.com
    or
    mtechnik@singnet.com.sg

But I have not managed to get in touch with him this year??
I did order some spares from him last year and got to meet him while in Singapore (as brake disks are quite expensive to post, I opted for picking them up on route from UK)

If you don't succeed in getting him, try davidfl@gt-rider.com (David Unkovich from Golden Triangle, Thailand) as that's how Greg got his contact details initially.

Good luck, and if you get in touch, perhaps post his details for us in future.
