Anyone with RD04 in London area??

Well the tacho, or fuel cut off relay, or cdi are playing up... No one seems to know which and honda service are booked until xmas ( seems like) , anyway, just wondering if theres any other owners in or around London with a 90,91 or 92 model... L,M or N. For copius amounts of beer and/or other favourites would anyone be willing to let me plug in my tacho and/or fuel cut off relay, perhaps CDI box to see whats causing the tacho to be totally dead. I dont really care if it doesnt work but want to keep the bike up and if its only the relay or tacho then it wont cost a bomb to replace like a CDI box will. By the way I'm trying to find a good second hand CDI to keep as spare, so if anyone has any ideas... Looking for crash bars and centrestand also.... Nice info about the Facet fuel pump... have ordered one, this site is great. Cheers guys and thanks a lot.

You should meet up with Whealie once his bike's back in the country. You could butcher each other's bikes to trace faulty parts. Sure you could come up with at least one working bike between the two of you.

Whealie, what's the latest on your bike?

No worries maverick, ta tho. The Biskit name came from drunken antics, permanently damaged from drinking.... mentally. My mates named me, now its for anyone who's fried. Blah blah. I bought a multimeter, I should be able to check the Tacho and fuel cutoff relay huh.... um how? Can it be done on the CDI if anyone knows.... I dont want anything else fried

    Or the brother of Duncan?
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

    Yen,
Surely his family name would have to be Donut, to have a brother named like Duncan?

I know a spanner man with an RD04 - he's also working on mine too I can give you his mobile number if you want - he works from home and might be able to help - he loves ATs and is very thorough.

    PM me!

He's in Brentford by the way but don't hold that against him...

    I'm going on a trip!

    Where are you in London?

I'm in London sometimes and I have an RD04, and interestingly enough, a spare CDI you can try on your bike to help eliminate your fault.

    Reply or PM me.
