    Travel tips section???

    How about a section with traveltips?
    Something for people to have a look at when they are planning there first or 100th trip
    We have so much bike travel knowledge,it would be sad not to use it
    I mean like instead of buying a bbq to take with,just get a good stainless steel grid and as legs use 4 empty beercans how cool,what a excuse to drink 4 beers, i was hungry
    stuff like this
    or emergency breakdown fixes
    things people seen other bikers/travellers do wich just make sense
    share your wisdom peoples
    They call him "Ze Quiet one"
    I listen to what the rice crispies tell me to do

    You got to be kidding
    It took me nearly 1 hour the other day just to add the poll
    I am a firm believer to leave things wich i know F... all about to people wich do
    but i see what you mean,just clicked for the first time on the wiki button,cool.
    Only problem i see is,i am sure there are a lot of pc challenged people like me out there wich never heard of wiki so i never would have thought of looking there for info or tips
    maybe a different name or a pointer type thing
    They call him "Ze Quiet one"

    Wiki's are pretty neat, basically anyone can contribute. If you see an error, or want to expand or create a new page, you can.

    Simply register on the top R/H side of the Wiki with the
    Create an account or log in link.

    Then you can edit a page the Basics are simple:

    use equals signs to create a document with sections, you can even nest them.

    =heading=
    some text
    ==headinglevel2==
    blah blah blah
    ===headinglevel3===

    Some Text about something or other..
    *Bullet List
    *Bullet List
    *Bulet List
    **Nested Bullet List
    **Nested Bullet List
    *BulletList
    ==anotherlevel2==

    If you want to create a link to another page, or a page you intend to create later, just use 2 square brackets. Like to my [[Africa Twin]] page.

    have a play in the Sand Box: It's somewhere where people can play around with the Wiki without breaking anything:

    http://wiki.xrv.org.uk/index.php/Sand_Box

    On the subject of breaking anything. Basically, YOU CAN'T Every page has a full history of edits, which can be rolled back very easilly to a previous version of the file.

    For example, the Preparing for a big trip page has a history of edits, you can see what's changed between versions.

    http://wiki.xrv.org.uk/index.php?tit...action=history

    Hope that helps.
