Hi,

Any one experienced clutch problems with there africa twin? I just bought a 92 model and it makes what can only be dexcribed as a scraping sound when I release the clutch changing from 1st to 2nd.

Any one experienced clutch problems with there africa twin? I just bought a 92 model and it makes what can only be dexcribed as a scraping sound when I release the clutch changing from 1st to 2nd.

Does not sound good. Remove the r/h side cover (order a new gasket)
and investigate. Could be something simple by tweeking the shifting mechanism which lives behind the clutch. Or something bent and misalighned on the same mechanism.

yo dude, mine has sounded like a bag of nails for 50,000kms. wouldn't worry about the clutch, so long as it grips. if your rear wheel bearing is on its way out, when pushing forward may groan a bit coz it twists. this migth be yr noise, eazy to fix
