    Not quite straight

OK, Took off on the @ and landed badly. Bought a new front frame (holds the lights and instruments).
    here's the old one:

But, when I fitted everything it is still not quite aligned - I can't get the plastics to line up.

It still tilts slightly. So, any thoughts? Have I bent the main frame? can it be fixed?

Does the bike still ride straight?

if so, perhaps the lugs where that mounting frame fixes got bent ?

I think youd have been very unlikely to bend the front of the frame

Only other thing i can think of from looking at the pics is that the headstock has cracked but you would feel this moving perhaps

have a REALLY good look all round the headstock area with a torch if you can get in there and look for ANy cracks in the paint - dont want your front end collapsing

on the front off the frame , there's a fixture for the mounting you just replaced ....on my bike this part was bent .....

if you sit on the bike ....grab the indicator beams ......en slightly "twist" the front in the right direction .....on my bike this solved the problem of the plastic not lining up ......

    good luck ....

Will nervously give this a try. As you can see, it's not that far out of line.

I did the same when I came off mine last year. I had the frame re-jigged on mine as the impact had twisted the read subframe.
The front subframe cost me £150 plus vat and is about 90% in line... but there is still a slight misalignment in it.

Almost certainly the lugs the front subframe mounts to, not the whole of the front of the frame. Not unknown for even brand new subframes to be slightly out of line and need a little adjustment anyway. Worrying and irritating, but not usually a big problem.
