    Seat Test

I've bitten the bullet and finally decided to shell out the £25 to get my seat "seen to" by GA Wells this weekend.

I now have tests lined up for it, being either a nice 100+ mile ride back from Nottingham on saturday (where I'll be visiting a mate after getting it done) or a nice return trip to Dartford on Monday. These depend upon whether the other half decides she wants to come and therefore whether I'm in the car on saturday.

How much of a difference is it likely to make and will I be able to walk better after it?

When I broke my little finger I asked the doctor how soon it would be before I could play the piano. He said three weeks. I was dead chuffed because before I broke my finger I couldn't play the piano at all.
This is the same really. How do we know how well you walk now?

I can heartily recommend a bacon butty and a coffee while you wait, in the little greasy spoon next to GA Wells.

Not sure that'll aid your walking at all though.

Well it's the numb bumb the seat gives after about 100 miles which does it at the moment, hoping that the new improved seat will improve that.

I have already received advice about the cafe from the guy at Wells, looking forward to it already!

One of my favourite Bob Monkhouse jokes was
One my wedding night after I had sex with my wife for the first time, out of habit I gave her a £20 note. Out of habit, she gave me £10 change.
