    Rear wheel rebuild

I am going to get my rear wheel re-built, Central wheel don't make a 2.75 x17 (original fitment) they can however rebuild using a 2.50 x17 or 3.00x17 rim, which one should i go for?,i will be using the original tyre size 140/80/17 ,i am worried if i go up to a 3.00X17 it may rub on the swinging arm.

    3.00 x 17 should fit
    NO PROBLEM
That equates to about one eigth of an inch (2.5 to 3mm) extra width each side....take a look at the gap now.... you will see it should fit

    Good Luck

I recently had new rims/wheels built by hagon in Essex - the only rim width they could offer me was 2.50 rather than the original size of (2.75) - still works ok and managed to squeeze on a standard size 140 width TKC 80 tyre - was a bit tight tho.

Anybody ever gone for an 18 inch rim?

Great choice of off road rubber?

Thanks for the reply's, approx cost of re-build is about £200 per wheel, it depends on type of spokes etc.
