    Squeaky front wheel

    Just a quicky.

Pushing the bike out of the garage before going for a ride, there are no squeaks. Getting back from a ride and reversing it in, and the fron wheels makes a noticeable squeaking noise.

I've felt the discs and they're cool to the touch so I don't think the brakes are sticking.

    Any ideas?

Take a closer look at the brake pads, sometimes they "feather" on the leading edge, so when going forwards they kinda rock slightly and clear the disc, but going backwards they rock the wrong way and contact the disc a bit more, either that or I'm talking bollocks again and it's your wheel bearings

get the front end up in the air and play about with it, may be different though when the wheel is on the floor and supporting the bike's weight.

Cheers Dilbert that sounds likely, the pads in there are pretty old and crap to be honest.

Will double check the bearings but can't think why they'd be gone.
