Hi Scorch
Super Photos![]()
How Many miles did you do?
Did you do any special prep to the bike before you went?
What tools/spares did you carry?
I am planning a 12 day tour in September.
Plymouth to Santander, returning via Calais.
Any Tips???
Nice pics scorch, especially like this one, the bike looks really at home hereOriginally Posted by scorch

Thanks!! I really enjoyed it.Originally Posted by loftyjohn
I think I did 10,000 miles on that trip. And about 7000 miles on the previous trip.
I plan on doing a portugal to italy trip this year if anyone is interested in riding.
Not sure of any special prep. I had my dealer do a overall inspection, oil and filter. Had a new rear tire installed.
I had the rectifier re installed because the one on the bike had corroded.
Im going to change the fuel pump next, it's showing the classic symptons, and going to do some carburattor work.
I carry a tire kit, and an electric air compressor, 2 pants, 2 shirts, a couple of underwear, a boat load of fuses. The seat on the AT is very uncomfortable even with my corbin on it, im going to buy a sheep skin pad and put it on it.

im curious about it myself. In europe its pretty easy to navigate, you don't seem to need much. But i like to be prepared.
