    LED TAIL LIGHT PANEL-Africa Twin

    Any one tried this?
Avoid rear enders! Here is the answer - a product which can be fitted in minutes, is completely reversible and will make the tail light approximately 75% brighter than normal.
Our new LED Light Panels comprise a custom made panel with red LED’s, which are of a special high intensity type.
There is also a plug-in connector to go into the existing bulb socket to make installation quick and reversible.
Where necessary there are 4 downward facing white LED’s to illuminate the number plate. Fitment would take no more than 10 minutes and is completely reversible.

We went through this a while back:
    http://www.xrv.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1636

You can get LED tail lights in lots of places (but make sure you buy a replacement for a dual filament rear/brake light, not just a rear light bulb...), trouble is, how do you know if they are any good? Some are pathetically dim.

In then managed to get a second hand LED panel (same as Nippy Normans sell). I'm not convinced it's brighter, but it's not dimmer than the original bulb, and should be safer than relying on a single tungsten filamanet to make you visible at night.

It's a lot of dosh, but it's cheaper than buying a cr*p LED "bulb" and then having to chuck it in the bin and buy something expensive anyway...
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle

I've currently got one of these on the @:

    http://www.kisantech.com/index.php?c...ame=tailBlazer

Kisan Tailblazer - which is a modulating brake light. DEFINITELY attention grabbing

You need a 10W-D model for the @

It is definitely brighter in both rear light & brake light mode.

I've also been looking at Hyperlites:

    http://www.hyperlites.com/

Which seem to have a good record with the ADV guys.

I was thinking of adding them to the TT panniers for added visibilty.

I think NippyNormans can get hold of the Kisan stuff, as they do the Kisan Chargeguard, and I'm sure I've seen the Hyperlites somewhere on their site as well - might be quicker just to give them a call
