    Seat removal?

New to Africa Twin and cannot find how to remove the seat - any ideas? I just used the key on previous Hornet but cannot find same on the AT. Any help appreciated.

If its an 'RD04' pull side panels off (or rather gently unscrew them and lay them down on cotton wool) and remove two retaining bolts mid way up either side of seat. If its 'other' i cant help you without the haynes manual.
Spend a day or two scratchin the head after I got my AT trying to figure out how to get the allen key into the tiny slot between the seat and side panel.
    Easy Peasy.

If it is a RD07 the seat is retained by a lock on the L/H/S panel under the seat, unlock pull back& up, this can be awkward if you have a topbox fitted.

further to the RD07 advice - they are a bugger to get off - they really need to be jiggled to get them off - total bugger with top box on!

    Ha! Hard to get off?

Buy a Touratech one - mine almost FALLS off! Seriously, its soooooo loose! Comes off easy even with teh GIVI top-box on, must be something to do with the rubber feet having fell off the base of the seat....
