    Africa Twin and XRV750 decals

I am looking at getting some new decals made up by a chap (2 wheel humvee - Steve Peacock) that produces some excellent ones for the GS guys over on the ADVrider forum.

I have corresponded with Steve and he is more than willing to produce what we need.

To have a look at what he currently does have a look at:

    '2 wheel humvee' smugmug album

They look fantastic and have great feedback from those that have bought them, so...........

    I fancy a set of XRV750 decals:

and a set of Africa Twin decals:

A pair of ZEGA-case decals in reflective white (as I'm having my Zegas powdercoated black): The Caja Sahel ones look sooooo good powdercoated :P :P

And of course some www.xrv.org.uk decals as well (they came and went sooooooo quickly last time they were offered on here.

I am going to oder a set of what you see above, as that is what is currently on my @, so a matching set on my panniers would be nice.

You can see the range of colours available for the GS guys, so I should imagine that a similiar range would be available to us.

The www.xrv.org.uk logo will be in either reflective white or reflective black.

I'm getting a quote for what I want for now - but I'd like to extend this to members of this forum as I don't think I'm alone in thinking these are cool.

What I need from you is the style that you want as it varied with the different years colour schemes

As for colours, sizes, styles etc, I need to know what you guys want.

So do any of you have a set of original decals that you can scan, or a good digital image of the logos, as I'd like to build up a library of digital images of the relevant decals for the various incarnations of @.

I'm sure there's going to be lots of questions - which I welcome, as I haven't done anything like this before. (what am I letting myself in for

Our illustrious leader has given me his blessing for the www.xrv.org.uk decals so for those I just need a decision on size and what sort of quantity might be required - the I can go and get some prices
And yes - before anyone mentions it - whatever I do manage to get manufactured, a small portion of the price will be pushed back to this forum for admin costs - and I WILL NOT make any profit on them.

So to repeat myself -I need to know what you'd like to see:
    • 1 - Digital Images of each type of decal required
      2 - What colours you'd like
3 - What size you'd like (oe size or custom size)
4 - xrv forum decal in reflective white - and what size
5 - xrv forum in reflective black - and what size

If you do have any good digital files of any @ logos could you please email them to me so that I can start building a library. I think my email is shown in my profile, but if not please PM me and I'll let you have it.

Cheers all - looking forward to getting this moving........

may I suggest the xrv decals just say xrv.org.uk and drop the www?
I'll have a set in both colours please.
I might also be interested in the RD04 livery Africa Twin tank logo in black

I can supply you vectored fils (Illustrator eps) of these 2 logos which you can resize and recolour to your hearts content, not sure whether they're RD04 or not though...cant find the latest incarnation though as on StormForce's post, nor the XRV logo.

And here in Luddite Land, I can get a bit of tracing paper and trace over the original on my bike
There was no XRV on the RD04. It said Adventure sport.

Re: Africa Twin and XRV750 decals

OK - not too much of a response to this thread yet , but I remain hopeful - and thankyou to those who have made suggestions and/or offered digifiles

This is what I have so far:

    Africa Twin Logo RD03 & RD04 (1988 to 1992?)

    Africa Twin Logo RD07 (1993 to 1995)

    Africa Twin Logo RD07A (1996 - 1999)

Does anyone have a good digital image of the RD07A (2000 to 2003) logo?

And I have this for the forum decal (Scotchlite Reflective Black, or White)

Also need a decision on whether to drop the www. from the front so that it just reads xrv.org.uk

Yes I would drop the www.
xrv.org.uk looks a little sharper although I don't think there's a big problem either way. So you do what you think is right.

    Hi Stormforce,

I would be interested in the xrv.com logos and what about doing some stickers like this http://www.xrv.org.uk/getimage.php?id=2208 (with whealies/whoever permission), I have thought of getting some of these made myself.

    cheers, Bob.

Re: Africa Twin and XRV750 decals

I need some "adventure sports" and 750 logo's to go on my all silver @. Also interested in the red, black and blue flashes on the tank, scaled down to fit on the side panels.

    Conk.
