    cockpit conversion?

    Hi ya,
I'm new to the eminent forum but have been a member of the Swedish one for some time. Always nice to see what others has done with their bikes. Am in the process of kitting the bike up for the first run, still too much bl***y snow yet though . Probably live in the wrong part of the world... I'll post pictures when everything's finished on the bike.

Just wanted to ask you guys what you think of this little yoke...?

I think it mellows down the pleasantly rough and chaotic OE dash, adding misplaced Smartcar-style design. I remember quite a few peeps here seem to like it. Personally, I only like it on Smartcars.

I prefer the original. IMO if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

But if you like it, get one and be happy with your choice.

I haven't really decided whether I like it or not. Don't think there'll be a purchase but I'm just trying to figure out how to fit the modified walkie talkie, cig plug and variuos other gadgets on without to much hassle... This seemed to be an easy way of just drilling a few more holes and put the bits together

Better left as original! if you want to improve the cockpit look change the trip for a GPS! And possibly add a roadmap...

Those cockpit plates extract all the character from that part of an AT.

But some people love em so you have to respect them.

Useful for fitting power sockets, switches, heated grip controls etc.. I knocked one up in a couple of hours. I mounted mine on the instrument cluster screws ( 4 x M5s ) behind the speedo/tacho - this one looks like it uses the plastic fasteners that holds the foam to the clock surrounds.
Looks something like this - I have a paper template available as a JPG which was a good starting point.
