Re: Screens...
I totally agree with robelst. I'm running a cut down Powerbronze screen at the moment which does the job well and looks like this:

You do get used the wind pressure and the noise and turbulence is lower. Having said that I would prefer to make this one shorter still, but the shape of the fairing reduces what's possible without making it all look odd. The Powerbronze screen it came from was pretty protective and surprisingly quiet for something with a slight flip (flip screens normally create turbulence), but I bought one with too dark a tint and doidn't like the way it impare vision when wet. Especially when filtering.
Other than that I've spent a lot of time experimenting with spoilers and air slots to smooth flow (on ATs and TAs, which is the worse of the two bikes from my experience) and oddly enough ended up with something that looks like an unadjustable MRA Vario.... To make this I used a Powerbronze screen from an RD04 (procurred for a tenner on Fleabay) and cut a concavity in the bottom of it to make a channel for the air. This was bolted via alloy 'arms' to the outer two screen mountings, the ones that mount directly to the fairing frame. Those mounts were separated from the original screen using modesty blocks, and the upper part of the screen was held using two other arms and separated from it by two more modesty blocks. Shame I haven't got a picture - not easy to explain! The arrangement worked well and was very protective, but too large for my liking...
