    Question Headlights

My 2002 RD7a failed it's MoT at the weekend, on the headlamp beam pattern. Looking at the pattern on the test board, the light 'kicks up' to the right, i.e. into the oncoming traffic, rather than to the left onto the verge. This is very strange as it's a proper UK bike, as checked out by my local Honda dealer, but it appears to have a Euro headlamp fitted. What's also interesting is that it was MoT-ed at the very same place last year, and passed.

So, could someone else with a UK bike post a close-up photo of their headlamps? I can then check the various lens bits against my bike.

    Thanks, Iain.
It's not the age, it's the mileage...

Have you changed the bulb in the headlight that failed, if so is it possible bulb has been incorrectly fitted, i cant think of any other reason a headlight that previously passed the MOT should now fail , I presume you have not touched the adjustment pre MOT

Unless one has just gone out of line. My old cars used to need adjusting every few years. The springs holding them in place just get tired and the lights go outof line.
On the @ they are easy to adjust once you get the front cowl off (wing nuts, hand tightened).

how often do vehicles/bikes have to be mot'd in the uk?
i'm glad we don't have to go through all that every now & then!

Wot's an MOT test? (only joking, I do know), actually very good point about going out of alignment, better check mine. Is there some sort of a DIY way to test whether they're okay or not?
