    I bought it...

So, I bought the SW MOtech Center Stand.. I already put it to place, so don't worry about questions on the exaust problem!!

The question is: Unlikelly the original Honda centerStand, the Sw-Motech one, dosen't bring a lever to hold my hand when I put the bike on the centerstand..
I already went to a honda dealer, but the damn lever costs 33% of the full honda certerstand, wich is a LOT OF MONEY!!!

Do you guys know anywher I can get it cheaper??

    Thanks

Pillion peg hanger's s'what you want, keep your gloves on 'cos it gets filthy.

Still a bugger to get it up, so as to speak, but levers aren't for hairy *rsed bikers like wot we is

My @ was a punk to get on the centerstand before I put the Givi bags on it! Now it's sooooo much easier because I just lean on the left bag while pulling back.

I have this handle that came with the OEM stand, but never fitted it because I fitted Nonfango side bags and they bolt on the same place (behind the left passenger’s footpeg base).
I believe that it is not needed because the passenger’s left footpeg base provides a great catch if you grab it underneath and lift the bike.

but don't you have to lower yourself too much in order to grab that keft footpeg?? I was hopping the correct handle was a bit higher..

    Interested in selling yours??

    Thanks

The handle goes right above the base of the footpeg so it is not doing much . In fact you twist your wrist more with the lever rather than grabbing the bike from the footpeg base. You have to lower yourself that much due to the suspension travel. This is the problem with this bike. The stand does not provide leverage action. It is much easier to lift the bike by lowering yourself, rather than standing and having your arm at chest level due to the suspension travel.

If I manage to find it , no problem. I'll let you know.

Right foot on triangle part of center stand, balance bike, right hand under pillion footpeg, then move left hand from handle bar to crash bar, 3,2,1 lift. This is my method, I am 5'7" with a small build. Before I had the crash bars I used to grab the frame.

Yep, this is more or less what I do, too, but I do not take my left hand of the handlebar. If you dont balance it well, then........ oohhh I don't want to think about it... brrrrr.... It is sort of a lift and a pull back motion.

    Re: I bought it...

    It's definitely an aquired skill.

Think I always used to do it with my left foot on the stand, left hand on the handlebars to steady it and right hand on the pannier frames near the passenger peg. Sometimes worked, sometimes didnt! Depended if I'd had a high calorie lunch or not and was feeling enrgetic!

Most importantly of all tough, just be very careful not to sh1t yourself with the effort!
