Hi Guys
First off hello everyone, I've been watching the site lately as a new @ owner and was going to get a pic up as soon as I get my pipe fitted.
That brings me to my question, whats up with lm-spares have any of you guys used them in the past and how was the experience?
I was going to order a Arrow pipe for my @ from the agents here in New Zealand but there was a 2-3 month wait, so I thought I'd get one in from the UK, lm-spares quote £166 for a pipe and I emailed them for a freight quote which they gave me a price of £63, now that works out to be $630NZ plus duty so $7ish NZ which is a couple of hundred more than from the agent if I wanted to wait 3 months, so I thought screw it I'll pay the extra and get it sent from the UK.
Now I get the bill and low and behold they double the freight without telling me to £126, now with the exchange rate I'm hit for $830NZ plus the duty to come, bad news is the @'s pipe is looking like its going to end up costing me $900-1000NZ![]()
I emailed them to point out that they had charged me the incorrect freight and got a 2 line email saying thats what it cost and I could check it at the link they provided if I don't believe them, they went onto say the price they gave me was an approximate only, needless to say I wasn't impressed and
armed with all the email proof and their own terms and conditions pointed out their responsiblety to fix the issue.
I'm not holding out much hope that they will do the right thing from their email and I'm picking I'll be talking to Mr Visa about being ripped off and where I stand on Monday.
I'll let you guys know what the out come is but all I can say is lm-spare may not be the best place to purchase parts for your @
Dean
