Does anyone know at which speed an RD07 motor makes maximum torque?
Just wondered how it relates to my up shifts and cruising speedsand if i'm riding in the most efficient manner

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
A 1999 has peak torque (45.7ftlb) at 6000rpm and a 1993 makes its peak torque (46.3ftlb) at the same rpm, so I'd guess 6000 was the same for all years of the 750![]()
Cheers for that fellas, looks like I'm not riding her hard enough![]()
Dunno when peak torque comes in ---ask my mate who frequently tries to keep up with me on his SV 650 ----![]()

Just curious is all as I've noticed it seems to keep pulling and pulling.
No point revving the spuds of it if it were producing peak torque at say 5.5K but it doesn't feel like it does so my suspicions are confirmed.
It's around 6000revs.
Mildly tuned engine (Leovince/Dynojet/K&N) has very wide torgue curve. Approx 60nm on a back wheel from 3000 to nearly 6000.
