    Insurance

As my insurance is due for renewal in a couple of weeks l decided to shop around to see what was on offer (with Bennetts at the moment). Had a good deal from ebike, turned out cheaper than Bennetts and included cover for 2 bikes. Has anyone here had any dealings with ebike? Would like to hear what people think of them before swaping.

I'm with ebike but I've not had to use their services. What I don't like about their policies is that you are not insured to ride other bikes. Unless they change that I'll probably not use them again.

I changed to eBike last year - much cheaper (£95) than Motorcycle Direct (£150). Can't comment on the service as I've not had to use it.

I'm with Bennetts but will be changing to Ebike shortly. I moved house in Feb and Bennetts charged me a £20 admin fee, (my car insurance company did'nt!). I sold my KLR and bought an @T, again another £20 admin fee. My partner bought a new Suzuki GSXR 600 and took out the Suzuki £99 fully comp insurance as part of the deal. Even though she paid Bennetts monthly they wanted her to pay for the rest of the year and guess what, an admin fee. £53 for SFA!! Greedy rip off b@"*!'d's. When i phoned up they informed me that they would have waived the admin fees on moving home but because i did'nt ask - tough! As for the other fees i was told to read the small print in the booklet that accompanied my policy documents. Attitude ****e!
Won't be using Bennetts again in a hurry, they only care about having your money not you as a customer.

    Sorry for the rant.

It depends what you might want to do. If you expect to change your circumstances or you have anything unusual on you bike or about how you keep it ebike may prove a pain. They do not respond to emails and you cannot phone them - believe me I tried.
Also, if you are taking your bike abroad, the European breakdown cover is extra (it is include in a Carole Nash policy).

    Re: Insurance

I'm with ebike, been almost two years now, renewal was up £15 on the initial policy but not too bad, Tiger and CB750 for £135.
Never had to claim (thankfully) so dunno about service provided.

    Re: Insurance

Wouldn't insure me ..... you have to have had a Full bike licence for at least a year.....so much for my 'clean' 32 years at the wheel & advanced Driving grade, all of which I put to use in riding defensively. Should be a Hip Hop crazed, ego fueled 19 year old with a Fireblade & a 'who cares' attitude on 12 months ticket....they'd have insured me then ....but I'm not bitter.........

    Re: Insurance

I've been with e-bike for 3 years, cheap and easy to deal with. Adding a highly modified '87 VFR to the policy only made a small difference and adding a '78 CX500 made no difference!
