    Replacing the master cylinder

I need to replace the master cylinder on my '95 @. Mirror broke of in it in Lesotho. Can I do this my self or do I need a specialist to do this.

If I can how do I bleed the brakes to prevent air from entering the system?

Clamp the pipe just below where it joins with the mastercylinder before undoing the banjo bolt. Then just swap the master cylinders, rejoin the brake pipe, fill the mastercylinder with brake fluid and release the clamp. Bleed out the air you've introduced.

I use molegrips with cardboard as protection when clamping brakepipes.

Heating the old copper washers from the pipe joint until cherry red then quenching them in cold water makes them okay to use again if you can't get any new ones.
