    frame rust

    Hi all
    Anyone know how I can deal with the rust shown in the attached pic.

    I'm with Bob on that - reasonably close match to original and easy preparation. The only permanent fix is powder coating the frame but that involves a lot of work. Keeping the rust at bay with smoothrite works pretty well.

    dremmel with the wire brush attachment ,,some anti rust treatment,,and a pot of silver enamel paint ,,,

    if not total stripdown and powder coat the frame

    Hi
    I would fit a Scotoiler ASAP.
    1. It will keep an @ chain going for at least 25K miles
    2. The fling off the oiler will keep that part of the frame and stand free from rust

    Works for me
