What a difference a day makes........

As the tune goes, '24 little hours'..... ago I had a knackered chain and my @ rode like a dog at slow speed due to the slop in the drive train.

Well, its done now - new DID x-ring gold and new sprockets plus a change of oil and a new filter.

All I can say is WOW!

What a difference - it rides like it was meant to now and is a real pleasure especially filtering or slow speed stuff where it was a right chore before.

Just thought I'd share that as I'm so bl@@dy happy about it!

Had a similar experience when I got new chain and sprockts recently. Good investment.

I'v e put almost 15,000 miles on my DID x-ring, and I've only adjusted it twice! Combined with a scottoiler you can't beat them.

Oh and I don't ride like some old granny, I ride it like I stole it

Thats nice to know - I have a scottoiler on already so I'm looking forward to getting a lot of life out of my chain then - and I too ride it like I stole it, but after reading Gav's account of his crash, I might take it easy for a bit..........

mmmm....thinking of getting a new set of C&S for my RD07.

Years ago I had a DID X ring on my tenere. After doing 13500 miles from the UK to cape town there was still loads of life left.

Wheres the best place to get them and what sort of price?

Try Busters, and if you order online and use the code VARADERO10 (even though it's not for a Varadero) you should get yourself a 10% discount

Just bought a Super-Heavy Duty DID Double X Ring Gold Chain & Sprox for my Vara from them and that set me back about £90.

Re: What a difference a day makes........

    Ralph,

Got mine from M&P and it was £98 for a chain, front and rear sprox, an oil filter and postage. Not bad I thought, plus even though they had to order the chain and sprox in, it was only about 4 days and it was in the posties place for me to pick-up - just a shame he then lost it and tried to deny having it for 3 days until he found it again .........
