    Iridium Plugs

OK you lot, a couple of quick-fire questions...

    1) Which make/code of Iridium plugs did you use?

    2) How much did they (all 4) cost, and where'd you get them?

If you want to mention whether you think they make a difference, I'd be interested, but my forum search revealed mixed reactions, and no references to my actual questions above.

    Thanks in advance

    Bob

    Bob

I put them in my Varadero and now Lexus LS400 Car

Bloody superb, in my humble opinion. Noticeably smoother and feels like more power and better fuel consumption

got mine from www.sparkplugs.co.uk very good prices

Got 'em off ebay for about £28 inc postage.

Fitted them about 15,000 miles ago and haven't looked at them since. The AT was possibly a bit smoother and more economical but to be honest Bob I can't remember. Can't remember the codes either so not much help there.

    Re: Iridium Plugs

Wemoto quote this ref for an RD04:- NGK---DPR8EIX9

They charge £8.81 each whereas the company that Shep mentioned, Sparkplugs.co.uk charge £5.81 for the same plugs.

Haven't tried them but am seriously thinking of it for my RD04 rebuild project.

    Cheers

    Re: Iridium Plugs

I put the NGK iridium plugs in my @ about a year ago, cost about £8 each. I'd be lying if I said I noticed any difference.

Never expected or noticed the iridium plugs making any difference in starting/ running/ economy etc, but I am intending leaving them in for maybe 30k

Purchased from ebay - sparkplugs.co.uk? the part no as above & fitted to a 650 Alp

That's why I fitted them myself plus for maybe a tad more performance but mainly to fit and forget 'em.
