    HELP(please) braided lines +fittings

    Hi All,

I have been searching through threads relating to brake hoses, and came across this,

    http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/image.p...ine=1172312831 Jenna

make your own pipes up fron fittings and hose bought per meter, we always changed the MX bike pipes from new to braided.

best place we found was Rally Design as they have there own brand which is vastly cheaper than the big name brands but exact same quality..

pipe fittings are at: twin banjo £0.80 and single round eyes £2.40
    http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog...ath=85_248_249

    and pipe is at: £3.50P/mtr
    http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog...ath=85_248_259

personally i would prefer to use a single banjo and then a 3 way 't' splitting down each fork, double banjos tend to come loose quite easy plus your putting a lot of load on a small ally thread area.

    Re: HELP(please) braided lines +fittings

Here are the parts I used to replace everything from master cylinder down to calipers. Need 1 extra banjo bolt for master cylinder.

I think the banjo bolts on AT are all M10x1.25pitch - so the ones that Rally Design sell will not fit the calipers or master cylinders.

    Rally Design Parts Used :-

    1 - RD1518 90 DEG Extended Neck Banjo ( master cylinder)
    3 - RDPIPE Euroquip hose 3M ( enough for 3 front , 1 rear hose )
    4 - RD1516 20 DEG Extended Neck Banjo ( 2 x rear hose and 2 for front caliper )
    10 - RD1523 - Copper Washers ( maybe worth getting a couple extra )
    1 - RD1547 - T-Piece M10x1.0 Female ( junction splitter for front brakes)
    3 - RD1501 - M10x1.0 Male Convex Fitting ( hoses into junction splitter)
4 - RD1512 - Olives ( olives supplied with fittings so these are "just in case" items)

Well worth getting heatshrink sleeving as the stainless braid is very abrasive.

    Hope this helps
