    Bike colours

Does anyone have a good images of different colour schemes for the AT. About to respray my bike and I'm looking for inspiration for the new livery. The bike is being modified for off road rallye use, so team colours etc are a possiblity (not too sure about copyright issues - Jenna will hopefully know about this). Also, doesn't have to be restricted to the AT, any great Honda bike colours or other makes would do, however probably best to go down the Honda Rallye bike colour scheme ideally.

Any images / thoughts drop them in here. CHEERS

The best has got to be Rothmans - but a lot of work to get right i imagine.

steer well clear of registered names and trademarks, be aware that some companies have registered their colours aswel as logo's as trademarks.

Like anton its the rothmans colours that i love ( but its more due to the company and connections it has with sport), next is the martini racing colours and then those of embassy racing. Guess what work well is colours that have a good contradiction in shade and luminence... dont go to fiddly as trying to sort out panels that get whacked (and they will for sure!) with gaffer tape is hard enough but when its a pattern as well it always looks crap.

also consider that in many countries certain products are banned, by using the associated colours you could very well get hassle you just dont need. Worked extensively for Marlboro's motorsport teams around the world and branded clothing became a nightmare, it also attracted the thieves!

    Yeah
I do love the Rothmans colours (saw what Furio did in Italy - Only Bike) however, feel that there is too much white involved. My AT is an RD07, think the Rothmans looks good on the older RD's. Will check out the other suggestions from Jenna. Keep the suggestions coming and any pics. Wheels away being powder coated just now so have to bear in mind that aspect (they are going to be black). Cheers everyone.....

    Re: Bike colours

Has anyone ever done a Jagermeister paint scheme on a bike? I know they do it a lot on racing cars, but can't say I've ever seen the great bright orange paint job on a racing bike

WTF? - you've never seen a bright orange paint job on a race bike? Letters Kay Tee Em sound familiar?

Sorry Ben, the devil made me do it!

    Re: Bike colours

Would it be too cheeky to rip off this scheme. Nice, though I think it'll be safer to stick to Honda base colours especially if competing

sorry should have said.. embassy were an FIA tin top GT team (but also now run bikes too) , they used to run RSR Porsche or lms Jags. team colours were pale blue, red and silver.

Seen quite a few bikes in orange with backing from B&Q/ Hutchinson (and not KTM's) and sad to say it dont to nowt for me, its fairly bland!... was 900ie on ebay about 6 months back all rebuilt in hutchinson colours and the owner couldn't give it away at £1000.

something else you might not have considered but should is.... not going for a fancy paint scheme but instead stick to a flat base colour and then have ALL the bike done in digital print vinyl.. its still not widely done in the UK but we've used it abroad a fair bit ( white cosworth escort that was TNT colours one day and the corona sponsored the next!). its got many advantages in that its easy to produce, its easy to maintain and its very easy to change. We are going this route with all our bikes/cars/trucks over then next year. Another advantage of using HD digital vinyl is that the same artwork can used to sublimation print straight to fabric.. ( bet everyone has seen the BSB pit girls catsuits that are done this way) its a great way of producing team and promo clothing on a very tight budget.
