    Remus exhaust

Is the Remus silencer the best aftermarket exhaust for my '98 RD07? Where can I get one?

    Re: Remus exhaust

I got the Remus Revolution for my 2000 @ - and it really is the Korean Meatballs

It was VERY easy to fit - quite literally a plug-'n-play job

It has made a huge difference to my bike, as it sounds really good, is definitely a bit quicker through the revs, looks really cool and weighs a lot less than the original chunk of metal!!

All in all, I'd say go for it!!

I got mine through Hein Gericke in Braintree as I've had really good service from them before- and thought that if there were any hassles, I could take it back to them to sort out!!
Happy to report, no probs so far!!!

I'll agree with everything said (power/noise etc). Baffles in it passes the MOT, 30 seconds later with the baffles out it sounds SUPERB

    Re: Remus exhaust

Sorry to revive an old thread but it came up in a search I was doing...
Anyone know if the baffles are removable on all Remus cans? I have a 'Grand Prix' one which is marked 'not for road use' It has what looks like a separate piece in the end but I`m not sure how it would come out. I`m sure we`ve all been tempted to try this and release the v-twin thunder! just for a bit... honest

    Re: Remus exhaust

Mines about half an hour away in a couriers delivery van so I've just been informed so I will be fitting it tomorrow.

Does anyone know if it just slides on or is some high temperature exhaust sealant necessary for air tight seal?

    Cheers

    Re: Remus exhaust

    Hi Desert Stormer,
I've just fitted a GPR exhaust to my RD07. Saw it on another thread in the forum started by Mr Kitch and listened to it rev on the sound files that he uploaded. Wanted one NOW. It arrived today. £123 all in. It came from Italy and took just under a week to arrive. I reckon that's pretty good going and a damn good price. Took it for a spin earlier. Man, I can feel the difference. Smoother, pokier, much much lighter than the original can, nicer looking, easy to fit...and the sound. Oh man I love the sound. I'm so happy. Now that has to be good competition for the likes of Remus (never had one myself but heard loads of people say they are fantastic). Might be worth checking GPR out. Good luck whatever your decision.
