    Touratech Tank Bag Issues

Splashed out and brought a TT tank bag with extra side pockets, ok..... I can live with the fact the side pockets cover the side engine vents... but how the F****ck do you fuel the bike without taking it all off... there isnt a fuel cap hole in the base, not even a template ... if I cut where I need a hole I'll be cutting throught 4 lines of stiches.... before I return it, someone must have found the solution....

    Re: Touratech Tank Bag Issues

I just cut the entire oval out of the centre of the base. and that seems to be holding fine. my issue was that the stiching on the front webbing unstictched with in 10 minutes of use.. but the cnetre cut has held for two big tours now.. Spain and Orkney Ils.. so all in all it is fine to cut. yo still have to unzip the tank bag and put that some where when you are filling.. only other thing to consider is changing the hooks that clip the side bags to the front farring.. I dont like the idea of that steel pulling hard on the plastic.. I changed mine to some pva ones that i made and have it hooking on to the crash bars.
