Thanks - handy having a reference to it online that I know as I need to find it when I'm away from home sometimes!

Me too - especially as I manage to have it full every time I need to take it off!
RD07a, reg in 2001, Black, heated grips, short screen, Scottoiler, Givi top box and panniers, DataTag, full Riky Cross crash bars, Baglux tank cover, Facet pump, mostly 200 miles to reserve and presently a lot happier since being loved up at Chad's hospital for sick ATs!

    Re: Valve Clearances

My wife hates my fuel tank after the last time I did my valves - I took the tank off (eventually - why the hell the tap needs to be so close to the frame at the back is beyond me, no wait, its not beyond me, I just wish it didn't need to be like that... ..), I then put it down on the lawn. It was sat on the forward end and was very full - now I know it has a slight leak at the filler as I have an @ tank shaped bare patch on the lawn that our lass is still fuming about!

I laughed, my daughter laughed, Mrs Stageone was less than impressed

With your hands on your head Or on the trigger of your gun
When the law break in How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement Or waiting on death row?.............

I'd been planning to remove my tank to route some wires up to the headstock.
I finally got round to doing it last night...after I'd filled up on the way home!
