Im in the numpty world of electrics

    Hi all,
Is it normal (well as normal as the @ world can be) for the near side headlight to be not as bright as the right hand lamp whilst on full beam.

This has been bugging me for some time now and with my extra sensitive super man like eyes is really beginning to p**s me off.

Am I really paranoid/over sensitive/ obsessive or highly atuned to the modern electrical system that is the @.

Which eye are you using? Could be you're using the wrong eye to check the hi beams.

YES that could be it, the wrong eye, or do I need sheets of lead in front of the lights just in case.
Wee Bro just you make sure you have a full range of tools available on saturday for us: such as tea spoons, mugs etc. oh yes and a light meter to gauge the light intensity of each headlight

Are they both angled the same? andare they supposed to be the same, sometimes they're slightly different to get the proper dip beam.

are both bulbs the same power? and is the dull one a little older? take it out and check, they start to get a "smoked" appearance when they're old (deposits from the filament).

I assume you've already checked all the contacts are Ok and none of the wires are pinched, etc?

Normally with normal light, only 1 head light is burning. This head light has a special deflector (not the mirror behind, but the glass with ribbles) for use with both normal and full beam. The other head light which is not burning with normal light, has a deflector for use only with full beam. This might cause the difference you decribed?!!?!

If the light is used for normal and full beam, the light is less then the one for Full beam only. This one give much (and I mean Much!) more light when used with full beam. I Have now a RD07 which has double lights when burning normal. But am thinking to get a single ligth and upgrade the other to the full beam.
