    seat

got an aftermarket seat on my @ but its been made taller to add the required comfort(done before I bought it)see pic below.

anyway my question is, should i remove the cover and shave the seat right down and add a gel seat thing for push bikes into a cut out well in the seat, to remove a few inches and make the bike better for my height(5'9')

    Re: seat

I wouldn't, If I were you I would take the seat (or send it) to a seat specialist. I had my @ seat re done from a standard rock hard Honda jobbi to this for just £65 plus postage at £10, £75 all in.

As I am somewhat vertically challenged I had about 2'' taken out of the riders seat height. This has not effected the overall comfort at all. I also have a KTM adventure which is fitted with a gell seat as standard, and I can tell you from experience that my new @ seat is far better.

The guy that did the seat for me works in Hudderfield and is called Tony. If you check out the past 'seat' threads here you should get the details, if not I will hunt the contact down for you.

By the way, nice @, was looking at this one myself (didn't bid on it though)

    Re: seat

I work for a motocross company and we have a guy who does seats. When I say should 'I' cut it down, I mean the guy from my company.

Yes, Tony did a first class job for me, and now I have ridden the bike for some miles (4500) I can say the seat is 100% better than the stock item
