HELP!! - What do I do now?!

tried to change the pads on the AT last night and completely mangled the pad pin on the left hand caliper.

After trying to drill it out it's now completely f*&ked...

it's a 95 model S...

Anyone got a spare to sell or some free advice?

hi jonesy i had the same problem with mine, this is where the fun started do i buy or at least try for a good repair and went for it and purchased one tap or dye whatever one it was to fit it and after fking that up then drilled thicker so far then thiner and do that till you get to the last few threads and thats when mine gave up the fight and i had four threads left in-tacked well that was just enough along with my keyring or split-pin, hope this helps, it should cos it wrecked my head for a while.

Have thought about tap and die. Will look into this.
I've also looked into a straight replacement and heard DRZ400 and XR400 use the same left hand caliper.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Hi This might be the thread that'll help
Alien caliper eating monster

Alien Caliper Eating Monster Got onto what fits from other bikes towards the end I think.
RD07a, reg in 2001, Black, heated grips, short screen, Scottoiler, Givi top box and panniers, DataTag, full Riky Cross crash bars, Baglux tank cover, Facet pump, mostly 200 miles to reserve and presently a lot happier since being loved up at Chad's hospital for sick ATs!
