Lightbulb Top tip for easy AT cleaning

This may alrady be common knowledge but for those who have not tried it could save a load of time, hassle, polish and buckets of water. My buddy told me about this and I thought he was taking the pi55 but it works.
All you need to get your bike sparkling clean are a packet of johnson and johnson baby wipes, god knows whats in them but they take off dirt, grease, dried bugs, brake dust, tree sap, tar the lot. i use about 12 - 15 and it saves time and money and the beauty is you dont have to polish your bike afterwards, sometimes they leave a slight white residue but it comes off easy with a dry cloth.
my swing arm never looked so good.....then again i have only had the bike for 2 weeks!!!
let me know how you get on.

    He's right!

Cleaned mine up a treat, and also cured a nasty little rash it had right under the swing arm, where it's always a bit moist!

Also found that a little drop of Calpol in the tank makes it run a lot nicer!

    He's right...you've started it now!

I wasn`t going to mention spending half an hour with the baby wipes at a filling station after riding through some dirty road works en route for the ferry ..

    Oooops...I just have......

P.S. Tesco Value and Asda Smart Price wipes do the job at a fraction of the cost of J & J ones.

However, the J & J ones are kinder to your skin....and leave your bike smelling a bit nicer.

I have seen baby wipes on the list of essential items for the bike riders taking part in the Paris Dakar race.

I presumed they were in case the rider needed the toilet in the middle of the desert.

    Silly me!!

Real men use the Halfords variety.
They come in a big yellow tube but I take some out and keep them in the top box in sealed poly bag. Clean your hands after roadside repairs too.
