    AT fork conversion finally started

Operation CR Kayaba fork has started. just to remind you, Im fitting up a 96 CR250 front end to my AT

The CR stem is 4mm bigger in diameter than the AT stem

    Original CR stem

Machined down to fit the AT bearings

Cutting the threads for the nuts

Done and the AT nuts fit, excellent

The stem will be pressed back into the triple clamps tomorrow, then Ive just got to wait till the forks come back from being revalved and sprung and we can bolt it onto the bike and sort out the steering stops and a plate to mount the ignition and sort out some sort of front mudguard.

It sure looks like you're going some great work there, I wouldn't have a clue where to even start. What's the advantage these forks will give you then, is it longer suspension travel ?

more travel, more rigid front end, far superior damping to AT forks even if they have emulators like my standard At forks

Re: AT fork conversion finally started

Hello I I put a fork of CRF, the problem was the weight of the motorcycle because the CRF weighs 110 kg and the AT 220 kg, I have of to return the fork at an assistant to put holds and new springs(competences) and to say to you preparations my couté dearer(more expensive) than the purchase of the fork and if you not made not the prépa the motorcycle guidonne

    Bonjour
