I've got them on mine - went on fine, only problems are:
1: I have my levers canted down so that my fingers are in line with my arm bones when using them - its an MTB thing, helps reduce stress in the wrists. This means that the guards also need to be canted down or the levers hit them. This leaves the top of the guard at or just below the level of the back of my hands making it a bit draughty - some TT 'spoilers' will cure this.
2: The clamps at the inner ends on the bars hit the air-cleaner cover on full lock - I'd previously dropped my bars back a bit as I'm not the tallest man around, but I've now pushed them forward again, but even then, due to the design of the thing, the clamps still hit the cover as its designed to be a close fit, hence the little 'channels' in it for the bars.....
3: I had to drill out the ends of the original bar weights to allow the collar to 'sink' in further to neaten the job up a bit.
I'll try and get some pics up to illustrate all of that lot as soon as I can........
Yeah SteveC I think it is, is having troubles as he doesn't actaully have any bar-weights fitted. If you have the original bar-weights just reuse the screws for them in the new end ferrules and you'll be fine - I didnt NEED to drill mine out, it just allows the ferrule to sink further into the end of the bar-weight and tidies the look of the job............ You'll see what I mean when you come to put it all together.......
When i fitted mine I got slightly longer bolts than the original honda ones. I left the bars end in place as the handguards would have been to close to the grips especially with thick winter gloves. No need to do any mod to the original bar ends.
I found less wind protection with the BMW guards than the original Honda ones partly as they sit further from your hands. Once I fitted the Touratech extensions then they were much better.
