Does anyone have the standard Honda guards fitted along with Oxford heated grips?

I tried to refit them but the lead 'block' moulded into the grip means I couldn't get them to go on.

Has anybody got Acerbis guards and the heated grips?

The BMW ones don't fit too well on Renthals and I find that the throttle side one really encroaches into the space I need for my hand to fit on the grip and also braking.

Yeah, I had that set-up untill recently - what seems to be the problem with it? Mine went on fine and the grip was nowhere near the guard - the only slight hic-up I had was I postitioned the clutch side in such a way that the lead 'block' stopped the clutch lever coming all the way back, a quick twist and re-glue and all was sorted............

Just had a thought - I saw some renthal bar end weights in the local bike shop the other day - that would space the guards out a bit and give you more room at the grips, would it not? May need a bit of fettling to get it all to go together, but it should work............
