    Re: heated grips

    Hay Glenn,

EDIT: Im on a Transalp - but this should still apply

Im an electrical idiot myself... put them on in an hour. Most of that time was working out where to mount the heat controller. So 20 minutes actually at it (no joke)

    1. Cut off the grips you have.
    2. Stick on the new ones (i didn't glue mine cause they wouldnt budge)
    3. Connect all the wire connectors.
    4. Run the wire that attaches to the battery to the... well... battery.

Wee tip for you - re: running the wire from the battery.
The battery is on the right side. If you run the wire along the right side of the engine block, itll be very near to it and could get ugly.
I ran the wire from the battery OVER the seat bay onto the left hand side. Theres more space between wire and engine and theres already a few wires/tubes there, so itll fit very neatly in and you wont see it!
    Very clean.

And another thing, when you're sticking on the throttle side grip keep an eye on the angle of the part where the wires connect to the grip. Look at the throttle on & throttle off position.

I'm an idiot - give it a go, you'll be fine

Also, watch the connector 'blob' on teh left hand side - it can interfere with the clutch lever if not postitioned right..........

(That'll be the benifit of hindsight and experience then.....)
